In regard to the experiential factor influence on children's mental development, classical Piagetian school concerned on immediate experience(physical experience and mathematical logic experience); as for social experience from individuals interaction, there's few systemic research but some embodying in concepts"egocentrism"and"decentration". Reuven Feuerstein who proposed Mediated Learning theory, emphasized the circumstance which children face is filtered and organized by culture. However, how the circumstance filtering and organizing influence on children's development is outside scope of Feuerstein and his adherent's inquiry. This article tries to investigate it. The task of sequence operation(arrange ten sticks whose length appears arithmetic progression in sequence) was chosen as the research content, 47 4-7 years old children were inquired about this task, and then, children's exploratory behavior and their parents'"mediated activity"were also interviewed. Results showed that: the development of contemporary Chinese children's operational level is ahead of Piaget's conclusion; parents'"mediated activity"can predict children's development of Sequence Operation level, and affect this level through an intervening variable——exploratory behavior.
