There are countless relations between this classical work and Allan Poe's unusual life experience, the creation idea he held and the historical background he was in at that time. Roderick's strange behaviors and what the narrator saw and heard all transmit messages of the author, such as his chronically depressed unconscious, misfortunes he had confronted in his life, so on and so forth. All of these may even remain undiscovered for the author. But it is not difficult for us to find points of agreement if we make a deep research and compare the work to the author's miserable life.
