| There are five parts in the text of this dissertation:preface, Partâ… the chieftain seeking refuge in Burma and the destiny, Partâ…¡-the generals of Ming dynasty and relationship of han and other ethnic groups in western Yunnan, Partâ…¢-the encounter of chieftain seeking refuge in Ming Dynasty, conclusion. After the text are bibliography, and appendix.In preface, I first introduce that why I choose the subject. I briefly introduce that the Yuan and Ming dynasty ruled in Yunnan, and the relevant background of Burma's Toungoo Dynasty. After that, I briefly introduce the war between Burma and Ming Dynasty in the late sixteenth century. Finally, I introduce interrelated research.Partâ… -chieftain seeking refuge in Burma and the destiny. I chiefly study the two representatives:the chieftain of Mubang who named Han Ba and the chieftain of Longchuan who named Yue Feng. I study the reasons that they seek refuge in Burma and the role that they played.Partâ…¡-the generals of Ming dynasty and relationship of han and other ethnic groups in western Yunnan. I do research on the generals of Ming dynasty who named Liu Ting and Deng Zilong. They were important in the war between Burma and Ming Dynasty. I explore the chieftain's role in the war,for example:Si Shun.Partâ…¢-the encounter of chieftain seeking refuge in Ming Dynasty. I chiefly study the two representatives:the chieftain of Mengyang who named Si Ge and the chieftain of Manmo who named Si Shun. They chose Burma or Ming Dynasty very difficultly.In the Conclusion, I think of identification of border ethnic group between Burma and Ming Dynasty in the late sixteenth century. |
