Research Of Address Term Towards Public Under The Context Of Assembly

The address term for the public under assembly context in China is principally divided into two categories:general terms (e.g. Respectable leaders) and honorific for specific person(s) (e.g. Respectable professor***). This thesis will study the mode regularity of address terms for the public under assembly context as research subject which shall be analyzed in four aspects:the configuration of address terms, the origins, utilizations of honorific for specific person(s) in differing fields or contexts, as well its expansion in domestic assembly contexts. The integrated system of qualitative & quantitative analysis, linguistic analysis, and questionnaires will be applied in drawing the thesis conclusions, which are inclusive of:1. The honorific for specific person(s) used in domestic address terms is intensely influenced by international assembly context and it is derived from the latter.2. The domestic honorific for specific person(s) under assembly context is spread gradually from top down.3. The honorific for specific person(s) varies for different contexts.4. The configuration and internal structure of address are complicate yet organized.
