Illustration Of The Creation Of Chinese Literature

Illustration in literary works is an important field concerned by art workers. The development of illustration in literary works in China is a process of pursuing a creation way of our own by inheriting national traditions and drawing lessons from the west. Excellent illustrations are perfect integration with literary works, and in another way, the recreation of them, which can beautify and rich original works. Based on the ideas mentioned in the preceding part of the text, I analyzed the illustration creation systematically in the terms of life accumulation, the creating conception and the expression of arts by way of summarizing related resources of illustrations in literary works in China. In the chapter of expression of arts, I focused my views on how to use the laws and methods of general arts, such as "Theme Then Writing", "The Similar From The Diverse", and "From Whole To Part" and so forth, to create illustration. And this is also the key point of this paper. In the last part of this paper, I analyzed the trend of illustrations in literary works and come up with some view of my own with my experiences.Illustration in literary works is a popular artistic form and with both the excellent practical applicability and artistic value. The research of creating illustrations in literary works is indispensable for making this kind of art more professional and widespread. This paper, focusing on the illustrations in literary works in 20th century's China, tries to guide the practice of creating illustrations by providing theoretical basis for the sake of creating illustrations with Chinese traditions and significances in times. For me, this paper is a useful attempt of analyzing creating theories and concluding my creating experiences, and at the same time, an artistic exploration combining painting and literature.
