Application Research And Practice Of Watercolor Expression In Literary Illustration Creation

Illustration art,with its special form of artistic expression and unique artistic charm,has long attracted Chinese and foreign artists and painting masters to conduct in-depth research and extensive creative practice.A good literary work with the help of illustrations can make readers have rich associations,make readers quickly close the distance with the author,and then better understand the thought and connotation of the literary works,and further get infinite aesthetic experience and valuable ideological edification.This graduation creation project is based on the novel “In the Dark” by Mai Jia.The original novel consists of three parts,It respectively tells the different fate of several people with special talents in the same era and in order to stick to their beliefs.It shows the different performances of people with different personalities in the claustrophobic dark space,and shows the human nature core which cross the era.In this legendary decimal,it full of suspense and mystery.It is particularly noteworthy that the complex emotional world of main characters in the novel have also been richly and meticulously displayed,thus overcoming the tendency of "stereotype" and "tagging".After a wide range of theoretical research,combined with practice,a detailed logical is arranged.With combination of the artistic characteristics of literary works and the artistic characteristics of illustration art,I obtained my own cognitive point of view.In this paper,it analyzes the creation law of the illustration art,makes a detailed interpretation and analysis of the cases of classic Chinese and foreign literary illustration works,and deeply excavates the content and ideological connotation of the literary works from the practical basis of the illustration of my literary works " In the Dar".At the same time,the establishment of realistic nostalgic art style,the selection of works' connotation and association paragraphs,the exploration of expression language of watercolor art,the grasp of character and emotion in character modeling,the metaphor,association and design of environmental props,the unity of composition change and style,and the presentation of the final effect of artistic design are systematically summarized.I puts this paper in the direction of practical thesis,hoping to provide some reference for the readers who will practice the illustrations creation of performance style of watercolor in the future,and offer some useful help.
