With the development of science and technology and the progress of the times, our original value, the ways of thinking and emotional life had completely changed. The city's economic life affects the value of traditional decorative pattern when people are shrouded in the fast way of life. So, can we redesign the Chinese traditional pattern, and making this spread as a type of traditional Chinese culture to improve public appreciation and protect the spirit of Chinese culture? For contemporary designers, these are worthy of attention and research.Today, the needs of the people changed from the pursuit of necessities to the pursuit of quality gradually. There are some problems in Chinese traditional pattern used in modern design:since the "China style " is popular in design world, dazzling traditional pattern is intact applied to commodities, industrial goods and our living environment. We will only see the embezzlement if we do not have the developed attitude and measures to transform the traditional patterns to adapt to modern decorative design.This research try to find two ways to redesign Chinese traditional pattern:Firstly, try to find the way to change the shape and color of traditional pattern. Secondly, adding some fashion elements. That includes fashion color, painting style, new material and techniques etc. Through these measures to keep the traditional flavors in the Chinese traditional pattern redesign. Then, use these redesign pattern in modern household articles.
