Based On The Redesign Of Traditional Fish Pattern Elements

This paper takes the redesign of traditional fish pattern as a breakthrough point to discuss the traditional fish pattern systematically.The initial fish pattern is the expression of the concept of reproductive worship.And later,fish pattern is about the symbolic meaning of life which gradually metamorphoses into a subconscious level of conceptual integration in traditional culture and aesthetic consciousness and it also counteracts on our traditional culture at the same time.First of all,in this paper the historical origin of the fish pattern design is briefly discussed.And then,based on the dual cultural attributes of fish pattern,the basic form and traditional design ideas are further discussed.This process reflects the gradual development of traditional design of thinking in different social stages.Secondly,modern pattern design emphasizes more on its decorative and artistic quality,but in the depths of the connotation it still contains the desire that fish can convey the aspirations and ideals of auspicious.Fish pattern reflected by the traditional design concept is the valuable wealth which modern design can learn from.The inheritance of the traditional pattern is not the only purpose of modern design,the implications from traditional design idea seems to be the most important.Through the discussion of traditional fish pattern and its cultural attributes,it reflects the inheritance and innovation of ancient design ideasFinally,this idea is transformed into an important theoretical support for redesign practice,and the integration and development of design theory and redesign practice research are carried out.
