This article's subjects are Chinese visual verb "look" and "see." Based on a number of scholars research, I combine my own study on their semantic features. In this article I will discuss how "look" and "see" change the meaning of nouns when they are the following objects in the sentence. Also through the data analysis I will explain the common errors made by students who learn Chinese as a second language in using "look/see+object" structure. Finally I will give some teaching suggestions on this subject.This article is divided into five parts:0. Introduction:In this part it briefly summarize why this research was conducted and its scope, methodology and sources.1. The meaning of "look" depending on the object nouns:1.1 First, I will illustrate each meaning of the verb "look" shown in the dictionary, and then I will look into the frequency of those meanings. After that on this basis, I will select some appropriate use cases, and then explore the semantic features of "look".1.2 From the perspective of the semantic type "look+N" structure of the N.1.3 Finally, we discuss how verb "look" influence the meaning of the following nouns.ii. The semantic analysis of verb "look" and semantic choice of N:2.1 First, I will illustrate each meaning of the verb "see" shown in the dictionary, and then I will look into the frequency of those meanings. After that on this basis, I will select some appropriate use cases, and then explore the semantic features of "see".2.2 From the perspective of the semantic type "See+N" structure of the N.2.3 Finally, we discuss how verb "See" influence the meaning of the following nouns.iii. "Look/see+N" structure comparison.3.1 From the point of three kinds of objects compare and analysis "Look+N"& "See+N" verb-object structure. 3.2 From the point of two practical application compare and analysis "Look+N" and "See+N" verb-object structure.â…³. For Chinese learners, The error analysis of "Look/See+Object"4.1 "Look", "see" Writing Errors situation and "Look", "see" verb-object structure bias statistics.4.2 "Look", "see" Writing Errors type and "Look", "see" verb-object structure, analysis of error types.4.3 From the point of internal factors and external factors, analysis of the causes of the above bias.4.4 Finally, I initiate some teaching strategies for elementary, intermediate and advanced learners of Chinese language.â…´.ConclusionThrough research we understand that Chinese visual verb "Look", "see" influence the nouns of visual areas, enabling them to achieve VO structure to match. Also in the verb-object structure, this study has included some common errors and error types made by all levels of Chinese learners, and how they are happened. At last, from the point of view of the professional teaching, this article put forward some suggestion in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
