In recent decades, as people concerned about ecological environment damage, and the literatus have paid attention to ecological environment. In eighties of the 20th century, Chinese ecological literature appeared. And Guo Xuebo has published works since 1975, in which his ecological consciousness was shown. In thirty-five years, Guo Xuebo's writings, whether novels or essays, have been focused on his hometown—the well-known horqin grassland and sand. He is concerned about the ecological environment, likes animals and loves history and culture. Currently, some Guo Xuebo's novels obtained many domestic and international awards, such as "A desert wolf-cub", "Silver fox", and aroused the reader's attention, which critics are especially concerned about.This paper makes a literature review about comments on Guo Xuebo's novels. Through the analysis of the present situation and shortage of study of Guo Xuebo's novels, the perspective of this paper is put forward. Comprehensive review articles about his ecological novel research has not yet appeared, and these comments have not studied his creative features. Therefore, a basic idea of ecological criticism is the theoretical starting point and support, reviews are focused on the whole creation of his ecological novel. This creation characteristic is grasps macroscopically, and his creation feature is commented in detail microcosmically. This consists of several components as below.Introduction begins with the significance of the topic, research status on Guo Xuebo's ecological novels, the research method and significance of this paper. In the significance of the topic, the definitions of "ecological literature", "eco-criticism" are made clearly, and the significance and value of Guo Xuebo's novels in Chinese ecological literature circles is shown. Research status is based on the comments of Guo Xuebo's novels in nearly six years, and overall analysis and detailed study is done by research methods, such as literature review and contrast. The comments of this article will focus on the overall creation of his ecological novel.In the first part, the theme implication of the Guo Xuebo's ecological novel is interpreted.
