Research On Prince Burnei's Legends

By studying Prince Burnei's legends, we can know the relationship between the history and the legends, distinguish their difference, and analyze their cultural meaning.The thesis consists of three parts, such as introductory remark, text and conclusion.The introductory remark explains the subject, introduces the significance of the subject, the general conditions of the research and the method of the research. The conclusion summarizes the whole thesis. The text consists of three chapters. Chapter one studies the beginning, course and end of Prince Burnei's rebellion, and analyzes its cause and the reasons of failure from historical aspects. Chapter two tries to find the cultural origion of Prince Burnei's legends based on Mongolians'beliefs and customs. Chapter three researches Prince Burnei's legends by studying Mongolians'traditional culture.Based on cultural anthropology, this thesis uses the methods of sociology and historical science, and makes some explanation. Prince Burnei's rebellion reflects not only Mongolian royal family's will of restoring to its original place, but also Mongolian people's hopes of reviving. This is the thoughts of the Mongolians during the Qing Dynasty.
