Development of vocal music has become the hottest topic in the vocal music circles nowadays. How can national vocal music avoid being influenced excessively by occidental singing, and not lose the flavor of traditional vocal music? Now how to break the "thousand and one cavity," the situation is not singing personality? How the situation of"being mechanical"and"singing without personality"can be broken? How can the situation that occidental singing theory dominates national vocal music teaching in domestic academies be overthrown? How does traditional vocal music theory really instruct national vocal music teaching? These problems have being considered by national vocal music workers even by Chinese vocal music workers. This paper took development in pluralism and teaching of national vocal music for research object, and expatiated for four chapters. It could be simply summarized as below: Tradition- present situation– Development trend- Education Development trend. The first chapter focused on the origin, classification, singing style and teaching theory of traditional vocal music, and be intended to convey that, traditional Chinese vocal music, as the art form produced from the soil of traditional Chinese culture, was the development source of national vocal music nowadays whether in concert or theatrical performances or teaching theory. The second chapter focused on analyzing development situations of national vocal music, and discoursed from before the founding of the state, after the founding of the state and current situations, which was to clarify the development thread of modern national vocal music and its different manifestations in different periods, formulated the drawbacks of current national vocal music. After discoursing development situations of the traditional vocal music and national vocal music in the third chapter in the first two chapters, the third chapter mainly discussed development trend in pluralism of national vocal music trends. An art has developed for many years to be another art, which was influenced by the integration and absorption of new and old art, local and foreign art. It is inadvisable to simply reject some artistic composition or abandon traditional arts, and pluralism, free development was the way. The final chapter, basing on development trend in pluralism of national vocal music discussed in the previous chapter, discoursed that national vocal music should be adjusted at teaching. And the final chapter expounded respectively from classroom teaching model, teach according to the student's ability and teacher judging standard, tried to find a more proper way to make national vocal music teaching and development of national vocal music supplement each other. Finally the write hope that it's beneficial to the development of national vocal music and national vocal music teaching.
