The history of modern design in Japan can be said that a legendary history, which from the beginning of World War II to develop their own modern design, just a few years to paid heed to the ruins of post-war design became the world power, this legendary leaps and bounds of the design world has been hot, especially the works of Japanese modern graphic design the perfect fusion of traditional and modern is highly regarded as the world's most modern design trend of charm and vitality of a force.Japan's modern design graphic design can be described as unique in the world, his works contained in the rich oriental style and aesthetic characteristics of the national traditions, modern design is sweeping the West under the today, seems full of vigor and vitality. Japanese graphic design aesthetic as the center of the nation, with culture as content, not only embodies the spirit of this nation's traditional culture, which formed the national characteristic of the modern design concept, praised by the international design community. In this paper, multi-level, multi-angle comparison study and the traditional graphics applications, modern design practices as an example to show proof. Paper is divided into five parts: the first major exploration of traditional Japanese culture, the impact of graphic design elements.
