As almost all the countries are involving into globalizations these years, the soft power of culture is making an increasing amount of attraction to the people all around the world. Being an unique way to spread culture, the national character integrating in animation naturally becomes a hot topic now day. Known as the "animation kingdom", Japan is the world’s largest animation production and exporting country. Japanese cartoon is famous for its rich-content, popularity and high-quality production. Nowadays it has already become a pillar industry of the nation. Other country’s attentions are attracted by the peculiarity and complexity of Japanese national character since World War Ⅱ. This article begins with the Japanese national personality. Research the performance in the character of Japanese national cultural to find out the deep effects which cultural character is acting on their own animation creation. Offering Chinese animation an enlightenment or a method that integrates with our own personality and culture into Chinese animations.The beginning of this article tells us the explanation to the background, purpose and meaning of the research, as well the explanation to the relationship between animation and cultural character. The main part, mainly uses the literature survey, case analysis method and comparative analysis to discusses the performance of Japanese national character in Japanese animations. After the chapter above there will be analysis, research on the reason why the character of Japanese national cultural becomes like this and its deep influence on the whole nation. The last part of this article is a summary. It sums up that the Japanese national character influence deeply on Japanese animation and gives an enlightenment to the Chinese animation creation and development.
