A Study On "Dream" Image In Mengchuang Ci

This text discusses the dream image that bases on the comprehensive analysis in style, skills, the times background and the writer'experience from the cultural background, which uses reading literature material method, especially in literature reference. Different from previous research achievements on the dream image in the Mengchuang Ci, it reflects the language and artistic expression, connotation of Mengchuang Ci. Encounter and time background of the author is embodied through text to reflect the fate of country and scholars in the Southern Song Dynasty in this paper from another angle.Paper is divided into four chapters. "Introduction" tells us research status and present situation of the Mengchuang Ci historically, and selects the most characteristic image of the" dream" as point of penetration of research.The first chapter is about dream and dream image, which discusses the concept of dream, dream image, and lists direct reference"dream"letter in the Mengchuang Ci to form formation as the foundation of the following discussion. The second chapter is to analyze dream image. Inner meaning of Wu Wenying'ci often can not be reflected by surface meaning. Inner meaning is hidden deeply and a deep emotion is maintained through the updated image. This chapter deepens the character recognition and understanding in the art by discussing the direct alleged "dream" image reflected on the creation of the metaphorical image, the symbolic image and portray sexual imagery analysis, analysis presentation skills in "dream" image, and comparing Li Shangyin poems with "dream" image, draw a conclusion the characteristic of dream image in Mengchuang Ci. The third chapter is about artistic conception of dream in Mengchuang Ci. Hazy, empty and cold image of dream is embodied from the angle of "virtual". The author sees spiritual world of figures' as object and interweaves blurred dream and complex frame of mind to reveal the fuzzy and complex beauty of his poems. The fourth chapter analyses the three causes of the "dreams" image through the types and skills from deeper level understanding of dream letter to readers, causing us to the reason of dream image. Firstly, sadness of the poet is reflected from three aspects as follow: life of Wu Wenying, personal emotion and his concerns with his country. His life is full of sorrow. He has traveled Jiangsu and Zhejiang thoroughly during his life and he has been an ordinary people all his life. His life is full of mortified encounter. Secondly, about personal emotion, most of his ci were written to his two wives in Suzhou and Hangzhou, memorizing past happiness. Death of his two wives brought psychological loss and he cannot erase scars in his heart. Thirdly, his ci manifests theme of his concerns of country by using literary quotation and comparing temporal and past situations. Most ci in Mengchuang Ci combine personal emotion with concerns about his country.In conclusion, we could find many images of dream, the sources of which are his frustrated life; his worries about the Southern Song Dynasty and his emotional sorrow, as well as their characteristics are density, beauty, profoundness, obscurity. Density refers the number of the images is great. Beauty is about the colorful image. Profoundness refers the ways of the descriptions of the dream images, which are symbolization, metaphor and descriptive and that are caused the obscurity. As a result, there is certain alienation between the author and the reader.
