The Regional Public Art creation cannot leave the region natural environment factors, cannot leave the region social environment factors.The thesis has taken Chongqing region as example, from the science of art angle, inspecting Chongqing's region environment, region culture. Combining with relevance theory such as human geography, architecture, ecology, the regional Public Art creation has unfolded investigation and discussion.First of all, start with discussing the concept of regionality, public art as well as the regional public art's implication; analyze the regional public art's creation idea and the strategy.Secondly, this paper analyze the Chongqing public art creation's regional background, namely,analyzed the natural environment and the human environment (BAYU-culture). It discuss the relationship of Chongqing region natural environment factors ,the social environment factors including economy, politics, the science and technology, the religious ideas, the folk custom and so on and the BAYU-culture formation, and summarized regional characteristic of BAYU-culture. Take the Dazu carving as the example discussion tradition art ,the region and the region culture's connection to provide experience for the creation of Chongqing regional public art.And then, this thesis analyze contemporary features and regional trends of the Chongqing public art works, and to"sculpture of the memory of the Chongqing","sculpture of the imperishable noble spirit","Hongyadong public buildings", and other instances of the contemporary public art in Chongqing regionalism concrete expression.Finally, this thesis focuses on analyzing creative direction of the Chongqing regional public art. First is the concept level, discusses how the geographical and cultural characteristics of Chongqing in public art and heritage can be extended and the Chongqing area of public art and harmonious regional environment echo. Secondly, people in symbiosis, context renewal, the overall development of the creative concept, how to make more public art in Chongqing regional environment, regional characteristics can revel in the creation of specific strategies proposed. In short, the art differs in thousands of ways because of their different regions. Rooted in the area of natural and social environment of Public Art is not just to create some kind of art style, but expressed as a creation of artistic ideas and methods of regional characteristics, such ideas and methods are key of the Chongqing Public Art personality development.
