Analysis Catch 22's Theme Awareness

Joseph Heller has already been an American classic writer, whose representative work "Catch-22" has also well known, the critics give extremely highly appraisal to Heller and his works. People analysis and understanding it in different points of view, at different levels, and in different positions, it can be said, for the interpretation of the classic work is never-ending. No matter as what starting point to interpret, we can always find "Catch-22" has intriguing connotations.This thesis takes "Catch-22" as the interpretation of object, combined with other works, from the perspective of thematic consciousness, trying to summarize them in deeper profound level and making a summary of the consciousnesses in the works, there were three parts of content. The first chapter from the relation between work and the existentialism to describe the ideology of existentialism, the second chapter basically introduces a literary phenomenon, namely "Anti-hero", the third chapter analyzed the social value of the awareness of the criticism and reflection. The three chapters of this thesis have close relations in the connotations, the first two chapters proceed from the concept of literature, the last chapter from the social awareness, common to show the theme awareness of "Catch-22".
