Study On Feasibility Of Transform Amber's Property Into Comprehensive Material Painting Language

Some scholar think that modernism of the 20th century is a kind of formalism,a fine art forms itself just for formalization,and treat the experimentation and improvisation of elements--points, lines,surfaces,colors,solids,materials and textures as the supreme end.Thus, the application of modern comprehensive material fine art must include recognition and use of the materials`property,it`s no doubt that the materials mentioned here implies those materials constituted art works, apart from drawing tools,also means the stuff we can see on the canvas.the ways that Materials represented the features of natural appearance are mainly act on people's vision, touch and smell.Visual elements include the color, texture, light,grain and so on.tactile elements include quality of a material, temperature and so on, the olfactory elements include taste, smell and etc.while an artist is apperceiving the stuff,he also contribute to the property of the material.this kind of property has something to do with artist's personality traits.in other words,such a painter-material interaction is also a aesthetic process, in which artists are the aesthetic subject, materials are aesthetic object,joviality of beauty appears in the interaction process.so does a sort of emotion, such feelings will be applied to the art works by the artist, comprehensive material painting process is also a emotional expression process of the painter. the completion of the final work rely on this kind of emotional language that extracted from the materials` property.This paper selects amber,a kind of natural materials,as research object.we study on amber`s natural and emotional property and want to figure out if there is a feasibility that amber can be used as comprehensive material.we try to express new painting contents by using amber`s property.By using deductive method(represents amber`material beauty and its cultural background)we analysis the texture features of amber.in the mean time we may take advantage of fine art major and the exploration of amber is Integrating into our comprehensive painting language.we multi-dimensionally explored the method that makes amber a expression of painting language, the original comprehensive material fine art research often limited to materials, and didn`t pay attention to stuff itself which we usually used as material sources.there are studies on the signs and texture beauty,nonetheless,there are few explorations on transform them into painting language.this paper is a effective complement. we study on the painting language in new era and provide a theoretical basis as well as direction of investigation.
