A Study On The Perspective And Writing Skills For The Mutual Concerns About Urban And Rural Areas In Bi Feiyu's Novels

Bi Feiyu gets more and more concerns from the literary circle with his unique pursuit on writing. Classified as a writer of the new generation by the critics, he was impacted by the early Pioneer writing style, and had experienced enough during the years from 1993 to 1994. To the 1990s, he took off the coat of the Pioneer style, and turned into the realism, caring of lives. In this process, Bi Feiyu kept concerning about the situations of human livings.This thesis studies on those works of Bi Feiyu describing the urban and rural lives, and analyses his realistic writing skills from the mutual perspectives in these fictions. The thesis is divided into three chapters.In Chapter One, to write cities from the perspective of rural, and rural areas from the view of the city's. The author reviews Bi Feiyu's novels concerning about the mutual relationship between urban and rural life, and answers his creative perspective of "I am standing in the city while writing about rural life, meanwhile, I write about city life when standing in rural areas." Besides, the author explains his understanding on the relationship between the urban and rural areas "village may always be an imaginable destination of mind for city people, while city will always be a secular sustenance to rural people ".In Chapter Two, urban plight and rural loss. It mainly refers to a "Ghost Culture" formed by the pursuit for desire whether in the city or rural areas. This culture distorts and alienates human nature, and finally results in series tragedies. In the urban or rural areas, human suffer from no spiritual support. This loneliness is also a question or thought to Bi Feiyu as the plight of human survival. According to the description to the inevitable pursuit of desire reflected in human nature, Bi Feiyu reveals the common character contained in the urban and rural areas: why people are being so unsatisfactory.In Chapter Three, the author's position according to the mutual orientation between urban and rural. In respect to the writer's experiences, special literary pursuit for a comprehensive care, this chapter explains the author's"mirror"position as"I rarely write about the city only, in the meanwhile, I rarely write about the rural only. But to write about the city from the perspective of the rural, while the rural from the view of city."Those topics on urban and rural reflected in Bi Feiyu's works are presented by a model as mutual concerns, which formed the author's unique art pursuit. In the process of this pursuit, the author concerns the people's plight, and expresses his humanity care, which have become his most sparkling writing business card.
