The Research On The Witchcrast Culture Of Ba

Witchcraft culture is the cornerstone of the Chinese culture, it plays an initiative role not only in the development of our country`s literature, art, astronomy, geography, medicine, and agricultural,but also in the forming of our nation`s festivals, customs and some taboo rules. Witchcraft, originated in the middle or late of Paleolithic Age, is a kind of cultural behavior in human childhood when people under the control of original"mutual Infiltration Law"eagered to control nature with the help of superpower.In recent years,the archaeological discovery in the Three Gorges region has been a solid evidence to prove that witchcraft thrived in"Ba land"in the Pre-Qin period. Since the shortage of relative data, this paper will make an organic integration of document literature and archaeological materials about Witchcraft culture, exploring the origination and development of Witchcraft culture of Ba and also it`s abundant connotation, hoping to complement and improve the document foundation of Witchcraft culture study. On the other hand, WuXi county of Chongqing is now being built the first Witchcraft culture museum, striving to create the first Witchcraft culture tribe. This study will take this opportunity to do some research on the decedents of"Ba people", the Tujia nationality in"Ba land"in terms of folk belief, folk activities and folk items, providing a feasible way to rescue and inherit Witchcraft culture of Ba.The paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter gives a distinctive introduction to the research origin, purpose, significance, content, methods and innovative point of this article. The second chapter makes defined explanation of the connotation of "Ba"and"wu". The third chapter is the main body of this paper with three aspects to discuss. The first aspect is to analyze the era conditions of the creation of Witchcraft culture of Ba. The second aspect, within the region of Ba during Pre-Qin period, studies the Witchcraft cultural form of"Ba land"in Pre-Qin period by combinating archaeological findings with documents. According to "Space cultural" theory, the last aspect discusses present remains of Witchcraft culture of Ba in its descendant——Tujia, from deep, middle, surface respectively. The fourth chapter proposes the countermeasures to the excavation and protection of Witchcraft culture of Ba, hoping to put forward feasible way to rescue and inherit Witchcraft culture of Ba. The fifth chapter is the epilogue of this paper, by reviewing the full paper, this part illuminates the significance and inherit ant necessity of the"Ba land"Witchcraft culture again.
