With the development of society, the humanity takes seriously to the cultural research day by day. As the basic unit of the society,family has an important role for the personal growth and getting to survive and development in society. With the"Family Function"concept proposed in the 1970s, more and more researchers gradually abandoned the idea of studying only individual not considering family, thus realize that the family is significant place to the development of individual mental and physical health.Orientation of social cognitive psychology researchers believe that achievement motivation is an individual act, but can not be separated with the external environment. The family being the place of individual life, has long and profound impact for the individual development. Many studies found that various family factors can affect individual psychological development. Good parentage, the democracy home environment etc is beneficial for the formation in child's positive self-concept, and the promotion of child's achievement development. Self-concept is self-perception of their own, deciding how to act. People with high achievement motivation need strong self-concept. The self-concept has an influence to the individual cognition, the emotion behavior and so on as an intermediary personality variable. Inspired by the previous studies, this study takes self-concept that has impaction on the individual factors of achievement motivation into the relationship between family function and achievement motivation, discussing the role of environmental behavior.This study used a questionnaire survey to 462 college students as subjects, sampling the family function scale, the Tennessee Self Concept Scale and the Achievement Motivation Scale, investigating the relationship among family function, self concept and achievement motivation, using the variance analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and other statistical methods, getting the following conclusions.(1) Family function is not remarkable in various dimensions of gender, regional factors. the different school type has remarkable difference. (2) Self-concept not remarkable in various dimensions of gender, regional factors. the different school type has remarkable difference.(3) Achievement motivation: the gender, school type are remarkable, and the region factors has the remarkable difference.(4) The relationship in any two factors of the family functions, self-concept achievement motivation is significant; the relationship between family functions and self-concept is significant; the relationship between achievement motivation and self-concept is significant.(5) Self-concept fully mediated in family function and achievement motivation, thus family function's influences to achievement motivation always achieve through the mediator of self-concept.
