Middle school is a very important turning point in the development of self-concept.Under the background of frequent cultural exchanges between China and the West,middle school students are not only limited to the influence of oriental culture,but also influenced by western culture.In order to study the relationship between the development of self-concept of middle school students and their relationship with social support and academic achievement in the context of collectivism.The subjects were divided into self-constructed start-up group(independent,dependent)and non-initiating group(control),using Tennessee self-concept questionnaire,social support questionnaire,academic achievement motivation scale,using story activation to start self-construction,using questionnaire.The results are as follows:1.Middle school students self-construction,social support,academic achievement motivation overall level is good.2.There were significant differences in demographic variables between self-construction group(self-construction group)and self-construction,social support and academic achievement motivation,and the differences in demographic variables were their own characteristics.3.Self-construction start-up group(independent,dependent)secondary school students self-construction,social support,academic achievement motivation two positive correlation.4.non-initiating group students self-construction,social support,academic achievement motivation two positive correlation.5.Self-construction start-up group(independent,dependent)?non-initiating group social support play a part of mediation between self-concept and academic achievement motivation.The intermediary effect of each group is different,and the amount of intermediary benefit of independent construction start-up group is 22 %,And the effect of the construction group was 17%,the the effect of non-initiating group was 20%.
