Zhongbazi site is one of the most important sites mainly with Xia, Shang & Zhou period cultural relics in Three Gorges region. A lot of remains, including ash pits, paddy fields, tombs and other relics, such as pottery, stone, oracle, bronze objects have been found. Based on the stratigraphic sequences and pottery assemblages, the remains of Xia, Shang & Zhou period in Zhongbazi site could be divided into two phases in time. Meanwhile, we can divide the pottery into four groups cultural factors, the main body of which is the first group, represented by the A type pot and the tall stemmed dou shape pottery. According to cultural contrast, Xia, Shang & Zhou period culture relics of Three Gorges region (represented by Zhongbazi site) is related to Western Sichuan region (represented by Sanxingdui site), but they are different kinds of archaeological cultures. Zhongbazi site lies in the center of Ba people's activity area. The research on the site will also provide important data for the exploration of the early Ba Culture.
