Research On The Two Comparisons Of The Yellow River Piano Concerto

Recently, research on The Yellow River Piano Concerto is becoming noticeable. There are different angles to do the research, such as comparing it with The Yellow River Cantata, with western classic concerto and comparing among the differ&nt editions of the work, and so on. The author of this thesis has paid more attention to this subject for a long time , collecting some materials about it.Several points on a part of the comparison between the concerto and the original work and on the comparison between the concerto and the revised edition of Shi Shucheng are analyzed technically, trying to center music itself. In writing the thesis, different aspects of knowledge on the theory of composing techniques are chiefly used. Classification and comparison are naturally necessary. Delicate analysis and comparison shows that the composition of The Yellow River Piano Concerto and the revision in Mr. Shi' s edition are worthy of our study and use for reference. The main value of this thesis lies that it enriches the researches on The Yellow River Piano Concerto , for the thesis offers some objective bases on the two aspects mentioned above.
