Since the firSt day When the African-AInerican were transported tothe United StateS. more than one hundrd evenffol years have passed.During this tragic and bitter period of time, Afrcan-AInerican neverstOPPed their efforts to achieve their freedom.Since the relatively early time, their struggling has been the etemalthesis of the AfrO-literature.This dissertation all together consistS of five chaPters. It mainlyexPounds the three Stages of the Afucan-AInerican struggling to gaintheir freedom and equality which are reflected in three novels: ffe.StOwe's Uncle TOmk Cabin, mchard Wright's Nathe Son and ToniMorrison's The Bluest Eye. The first chaPter is the intrOduction inwhich a rough idea of black literature is offered. The second chaPterpresents a detaiIed explanation of the first stage --- tolerance, throughanalyzing the novel --- UncIe Tom 3 Cabin.
