Quantitative Analysis Of Abbreviations In English For International Trade

For the purpose of studying the lexical features of abbreviations in English for international trade, this paper analyzes the reasons for the occurrences of the high frequency abbreviations and summarizes the spelling rules of abbreviations in telex. From the classification of abbreviations in English for international trade, formation features and occurring occasions of these abbreviations are revealed. Based on the quantitame analysis of the comparison between EITC and BROWNAB, conclusions are drawn that abbreviations in English for international trade are different from abbreviations in general English in terms of number word-formation and parts of speech.
