Personal writing, one of the pluralistic writings, plays a significant role in the literary field at present. However, for its short history, few critics can make conclusive theoretical evaluation to it except several initial articles published in some specialized magazines or periodicals. What is the thesis shown is to find out the similarities that hidden in those writings by reading and the supportive theories.It will analyze those personal writings from the four different aspects.1. The Lost Idea."The lost idea" is the familiar term in personal writings. Idea was ever put in the first place by numberless writers as the spiritual support to those people who believed the individual struggling , even the support of their lives . The writers who were bora in 1960s' and 1970s' despised the sublime ideas . On the contrary , they looked idea as a negation . Everything has been replaced by money .2. The Negative Meaning .Whatever ideological meaning or stylistic meaning which used to be the main bodies in the traditional narrative articles has already been neglected . The adopted three ways to realize the negation .(1) Describing the insignificant fragments of the social life ;(2 ) Expressing their personal feeling and experience by using the first person;(3 ) Caring for the inherent qualities description.3. Small Potatoes.The words void ?senseless > loneliness are inherited from small potatoes whomlived in the last century .But the difference is that people can not read any care ?judgment or criticism from their writings . Writers even showed the lots of indifference to these poor people .But this has never been seen in the versions of 19th century.4. Women's Body Rhetorical Words.More and more women writers began to focus on the body's description .It's the sharp feed back to the social and historical significance from the men's body in some writers' works . Women's body has already been a symbolic weapon to against the men's society and disintegrated the shackles of men's controlling .Conclusion : The personal writing is a inevitable result of the post-modernism tide and consumption-culture . The achievement and flaw are obvious in personal writing . It's no doubt that personal writing should be an unavoidable literary phenomenon in contemporary Chinese literature .
