| The purpose of this thesis was to study the development and the present situation of Chinese science & education film. It applied systematic and substantial evidence methods using different means including consulting historical documents; viewing the film works; covering specialists; investigating on the spot as well as inheriting and developing the achievements of internal scholars. By comparing the subjects of creation, techniques of expression, styles of directors, photographic skills of Shanghai Scientific & Educational film studio, Beijing Scientific & Educational film studio and China Agricultural scientific film studio, the author analyzed the production situation of Chinese science & education film in each periods, and had following findings:!. Found out the shooting spot of the film production department of old Shanghai Commercial Press. 2.Pointed out the idea of the two full bloom periods of Chinese science & education film creation. The first ful 1 bloom period was from 1961 to 1965, and the second full bloom period was from 1979 to 1989. It fills in the gaps in the field of the study of Chinese science& education film history.
