| This paper has collected 362 pieces of Tang Dynasty(including the five Dynasties) novels which mainly describe dreams. The narrative way of research can be divided into three aspects, i.e., the inheritance and surpassing of Tang dream novels upon those of the former dynasties, the observance of the significance of the theme' s connotation and the careful analysis of their narrative modes. The author of this thesis attempts to present the spirit of the narrative way of Tang dream novels and explore the narrative technique through the intersection pattern and inside and outside intermingling.
