Training children's creativity is one of the most important educational aims. That's not only because the development of creativity, the superlative form of human's intelligence study, is an important part of all-round development , but that the newborn generation's creativity is a country and a nation's most valuable wealth and resources. At present, our country's educational reform is in a transformational period from the exam-oriented education to the quality-oriented education. It has been a common knowledge in the field of education to regard training musical creativity as the most important teaching content of the quality-oriented education. It's musicians'task to bear the theory study and make teaching experiments. According to the theory study, the present paper explores the musical creativity's teaching principle, process, contents and methods. As well as expounding and proving the feasibility of training the musical creativity, the diversity of the development of children's musical creative thinking, and the influence of musical creative teaching to the children's creative characters' development by using some exact data of teaching examples, the paper gives some suitable suggestions and effective measures and shows some practical materials for the further studying of musical creative teaching.The paper contains four major parts. The first part expounds the concept of musical creativity and the present study situation of the musical creative thinking both domestic and abroad. The second part theoretically studies the principle of instruction, teaching concepts and the methods of training musical creativity. This part puts forward several principles of instruction, such as " each child has musical creative capability", "training children's musical creativity based on the four essential factors", "creativity teaching should follow the principle of cognition at different ages", "training musical creativity in music practice" and so on. It focuses on some concrete methods based on the smoothness, flexibility and particularity of training musical creative thinking. The third part of the paper shows some teaching experiments with the causality between musical creative teaching and children's musical creativity. It not only explains the teaching activities' experimental aims, preparatory process, organizational forms and practical methods, but makes a statistical analysis on the experimental data. The last part is a summary and revision. According to the results of the experimental data's analysis, it raises some proposals, such as "holding an encouraging attitude to children's musical creative activities", "training creativity should permeate through the learning of knowledge and skills" and "paying adequate attention to the difference of children's musical creativity". The part also suggests particular measures and methods. At last, the experiment also has some shortcomings in theory studying, objects choosing, teaching procedure and teaching difficulty. And all these will be improved in the future teaching experiments.
