Researches In Chen Zilong's Ci

Ci of Ming Daynasty is the declined period of Ci's history and the later period of Ming is the climax estate. Chen Zilong was the best writer of Ci at that time. Almost all the critics of Ci have made high assessments of his Ci from then on.But there are little comments on his theory of Ci,writings and valuation in the Ci history together.The paper strives to make a all-sided and objective site about Chen Zilong's fruition of Ci.The first part states Chen Zilong's theory of Ci.He wrote four texts about Ci,and advanced his points about it,which aimed at the abuses of Ming Ci.There are two aspects in his theory of Ci:opinions of Ci history and style of Ci.In the first aspect,Chen Zilong made the Ci history clearer and summaried the reasons of the decline of Ming Ci. At the same time,he made the rational ponder about Ci current situation of Ming.In the second aspect,Chen Zilong advocated graceful and restrained style of Ci, expressing true feelings.Chen Zilong's theory of Ci guided the writers in later period of Ming.The second part.There are two kinds of feelings in Chen Zilong's Ci,one kind is his love writings,which wrote down his love course between Liu Rushi.These Ci expressed his strong but despaired feeling for Liu Rushi, showing a new character of sincere and purity feeling .The kind of Ci renovated the direction of love Ci.The other kind of Ci were wrote after Ming Daynasty fell,which are mixtured blood with tears and expressed his love for his country,and contains all kinds of feelings:paining,despair,worry,indignat,and faithness for Ming and so on.The third part analyzes the misery realization that is contained in Chen Zilong's Ci.There are many images of nightfall and remote journey. Besides,Chen Zilong wrote a lot of Ci about spring,which described strong wind,rain and damaged flowers in spring.This sort of Ci reveals his thoughts about life and expressed his eagerness for realiazing ideas.The fourth part examines the artistic values of Chen Zilong's Ci.The style of these Ci is not always same,but developed with times.At the same time,Chen Zilong's Ci appears such pattern as graceful,comniotation,elegant,rich and generous. Refering to the orderly ways,Chen Zilong's Ci combine fluency and frustration,which make his feelings appears rhythm.And Chen Zilong payed great attention to metaphor and implication ,that is a very importantaspect.He selected a lot of symbolic images indirectly expressing his opinions towards the situations of that time.The fifth part.Chen Zilong,Yunjian Ci school and Yunjian Ci branch brought great infulence to Ci academic circle.Chen Zilong not only was considered as the header of all of Ci writers at that time ,but also made great infulence on Qing Dynasty Ci,especially early Ci.In short, Chen Zilong and Yunjian Ci school which he inaugruated made contribution for the flourish of Qing Dynasty.
