The Theory Of Dialogue In Bakhtin's Cultural Literary Theory

Dialogue has been the main trench of theory research in 20th centery, even in 21st centery. The view of dialogue believe that we should research literature from different perspective. In different theoretical system, literature will take on different feature which is the special appearance of literature, In the wide cultural ken, man can overview the real appearance of literature more properly and can have a overall recognization to literature. Cultural literary theory which based on the spirit of dialogue pays attention to every subject with interactive idea. It especially emphasises the effect from related subjects to literature and how literature keep its unique character.In the mordem West cultural literary theory research, new-historism and Bakhtin's literary theory can be regarded as two members of cultural literary theory. Compared with new-histotrist literary theoy, as my opinion,the theory of dialogue was discussed more comprehensively and thorough in Bakhtin's literary theory. So in this article, I try to analyze the theory of dialogue in Bakhtin's literary theory.This article is mainly divided into two parts.In the first part, the reflection of spirit of. dialogue in Bakhtins literary theory is the key topic. Bakhtin Complete is not an integrated theoretical system and has no obvious logic clue so the theory of dialogue in Baklitin's literary theory does not appear as the theoretical clue but as the dominant spirit permeating in it. It is the main task in this part to comb the spirite of dialogue that permeat in Bakhtin's main works. Bakhtin discusses the spirit of dialogue deeply when refers the three aspects. Firstly, he solves the difference between Formalism and Sociology with compatible and modest attitude.Secondly, he actively improves the comunication and dialogue between the folk carnival and authoritative culture to make every culture develop healthily under the effect of related culture.Thirdly, he studies the mutual relationship among styles, seriously analyze the style of friction and regard that friction has the most dialogic character comparing with other literary styles. In the second part, this article mainly discuss several important component parts that constitute Bakhtin's literary theory. Firstly, studying the problem of subject in dialogue and discussing the dialectical relationship between self and others. Secondly, researching the principle of dialogue in analyzing text. Thirdly, analyzing the dialogic strategy in super-linguistics, that is, the character of reply in language. Forthly, refiningthe spirit of dialogue from the culture of carnival. Additionally, this article concisely discusses the constrctive meaning of the dialogic spirit to literary theory under mordern linguistic enviroment and the importence to the development of literary theory in our country. Of course, the dialogic state advocated by Bakhtin is merely a kind of ideal world, and will never replace the realistic society completely. At the same time, extrem freedom and equality will lead to anarchism and choase.Order is the protection to diaolgue. We should not neglect the social meaning of monologue friction. Monologue friction has the function that polyphony friction can not compare in recording important historical matter.
