Modern bio-technology have caused some ethical issues and human cloning is one of the most controversial ones. Inasmuch human cloning is both the subject and object of our behavior, it will have a more obvious, direct and profound influence on human being . In fact, with the development of human cloning .many problems, such as "can and will human take the place of God " . "how to treat new bio-tech" . and "how to deal with the family relationships of clone?" or "what is a person." " are there universal principles of life ethics'? " are challenging our traditional ethics. If these problems are not handled properly, the new high-tech can not be developed in large scale. And if the new high-tech are applied to life without thinking carefully, a series of problems related to society, ethics, psychology, law .ecology and even humanity will disturb the human society.Nowadays, most of these problems are in great controversy. There are different opinions in different cultures, religions, and political systems . Generally speaking, the ethics in different countries are developed according to their own idiographic conditions, accordingly, the sequence, importance and background of these problems are quite different. Therefore, when we try to find a way to solve these problems, we should seek common ground while reserving difference, and keep uniqueness among similarity. Only then, can human society live in harmony with different civilizations. The author studied the ethics of cloning from cross-culture perspective in this thesis so as to provide theoretical basis for explaining and solving the ethical dilemma, and bring forward some useful suaaestions on the construction of Chinese medical ethics, enrich anddevelop the applied ethics, also, provide some thoughts in policy making. This thesis can be divided into 3 parts. Part one a general overview on cloningIn this part, pertinent definitions about cloning and the profound infects that cloning brings forward are introduced. Part two the ethics problems of human cloningMainly it includes therapeutic cloning and productive cloning. The core ethical problem of the former is whether embryo belongs to person, and this problem leads to pondering on what is a person. In this paper, the author discuss the problem from humanism angle of view. The latter is more complex, and this paper mainly discussed its five aspects. They are: Are human cloning the 100% copied from the original: does human cloning follow the principle of evolution: does human cloning conflict with diversity; does human cloning go against the principle of nonmaleficence. and can human cloning be used as means? Part Three Treat human cloning dialecticallyThe development of technology usually follow the way from being immature to mature, so does the human cloning. Thus we should treat tangle with tolerance, and analyze it objectively and sensibly. Let the ethics direct the development of technology. and make sure that the new high-tech w ill benefit humanity, not on the contrary.
