Shosha by Isaac Bashevis Singer, one of the most prominent contemporary American novelists and the greatest Yiddish writer, was regarded as an international bestseller and Singer's own favorite.Shosha, which was set in Warsaw on the eve of its annihilation in WW II, is a hauntingly lyrical love story between the hero Aaron and the heroine Shosha. In the course of Aaron's search of love, he is faced up with the choice of several girls. This thesis points out the protagonists' attitude toward love and the role of belief in their love. Besides, the paper analyzes the relationship between love and belief which influence Aaron's life all the time.
