On The Cultural Construction & Its Historical Experience Of The Transition Period

China was in a state of changing from the New-Democratic society to Socialist society from the foundation of the PRC to the basic success of the socialist transformation of the private ownership. During this period, the CCP was confronted with two urgent tasks in the cultural field: one was to establish the directing role of Maxism in all ideological fields; the other is to transform the culture and education of the old society, so that they can adapt to and facilitate the political changing and social development.To adapt to and facilitate the changing of society, the CCP launched many kinds of cultural construction work, including carrying out the program of mass-learing Maxism, transforming the culture and education of the old society, transforming the ideology of the intellectual, proceeding critical program in the cultural field and bringing forth the long-directing "Two Hundred" policy. The directing role of Maxism was established by the CCP's encouraging the mass-learing Maxism program and using Maxism to criticize all kinds of wrong opinions of politics and ideology. During the transformation of the culture and education of the old society, schools were gradually transformed to be worker and peasent-oriented and became tools to cultivate talents for the PRC, and the social culture was transformed to serve the people and socialism. With the basic success of the socialist transformation of the private ownership and the changing of the CCP's working core, the CCP brought forth the "Two Hundred" policy timely to facilitate the development of the country's science and culture.But "because of the little experience of leading socialism, the leader of the CCP mistakenly analyzed the situation and the general conditions of the country by idealism", accordingly, there were also many errors in the cultural construction during the transition period. These mainly were that the CCP overstated the class conflict in the ideological field and mixed up the researching problems and artical problems with politicalproblems, which belong to two contradictions of different quality. Accordinly, it mistakenly attacked many people and hurt the activation of many intellectual.The cultural construction work in the transition period left a lot of important historical experience for us. They are:(1)We should establish the directing role of Maxism in all ideological fields and using it to criticize various wrong opinions, but we should distinguish the researching problems from the political problems which belong to two contradictions of different quality; (2)We must insist the CCP's leading role for all cultural and educational work, but the researching dispute , should not be judged by individual but be solved by observing the regularities of the culural development ; (3) We must determine the cultural construction serve the people and socialism , but we must correctly recognize and estimate the intellectual of our country ,and work out correct policies and stick to them; (4)We must establish the security of law and system for cultural construction.
