Having studied the literary theory of the Pre-Qin and Han dynasty against the background of the Li-Yue traditions, the author strives to reveal the blank that other literary criticism often overlook. Being regarded as the quintessence of China's antique politics and culture, The influence of the Li-Yue is not only in traditional culture and literature, but also in literary criticism, including its' knowledge structure and thinking pattern.The thesis falls into six parts. The first part is the introduction, aiming to indicate the historical fact of the particularity of the relationship of the Li-Yue and literary theory. The second part gets to the bottom of literary theory and the Li-Yue: the Yin-Yang dualism and Heaven-Land-Man "Three Talent" theory. The third part, on the basis of the discussion in Yue and Li's knowledge structure, tries to prove the religion of Li-Yue. The fourth part discusses in detail the formation of literary theory category following the three transition of the Li-Yue. The fifth part correlates with the first and discusses the three traditional patterns of literary theory under the Li-Yue: historical, realizing man and discussing world and edifying. The sixth, the concluding part, summarizes the whole thesis and puts forward the further issue.
