On the basis of distinguishing the definitions between traditional culture and cultural tradition and the analysis of three different cultural traditions, each of which has its own core ,that is, kingdom-cored political cultural tradition, emotion-cored ethnic cultural tradition, and benefit-cored cultural tradition system and the basic cultural spirit of the pursuit of harmony, this essay points out the individuality of Chinese cultural tradition and illustrates thinking model of Chinese people and its actualization in reality which has formed under the effect of distinguished Chinese cultural tradition, i.e. advantage and disadvantage of Chinese national features .The author hopes that this essay can present a new view for the development of modern social culture, mainly adopting such methods as comparison, exemplification, and deductive and making a conclusion that Chinese cultural tradition enjoys its individuality with long civil history of thousands of years, which exactly is connected with Chinese national features and has unavoidable effect on modern society. This essay also shows the three distinguished thinking models formed inthis special cultural tradition-conservative, intuitive and recycled. When we putChinese cultural tradition into reality, we may find its detailed performance in reality, that is Chinese national features. Such features as loving face, flattery and so on all embody the connotation of Chinese cultural tradition. At the time that culture needs to be created urgently, we should rid the shortcomings and keep the long points of our Chinese people's distinguished thinking model and Chinese national features. Doing some research on the relationship between Chinese culture and Chinese national features is not the negation to our cultural tradition but intends to develop a new cultural tradition more suitable to the development of modern society.
