The Historical Trend Of The Villager Election And The Structure Of The Rural Power

The thesis inquires into the changes of the structure of the rural political power at the basic level according to the investigation in Xing County, the capital of the JinSui border area, and two Villager elections in 1941,1945,during period of the war of Resistance Against Japan.The thesis emphasizes the evolution process of the structure of the rural power in the base area of the war of Resistance Against Japan from the three different periods: the Villager election in 1941,the rural changes in year from 1942 to1944, the Villager election in 1945,after it simply analyses the power structure of the rural society in Xing county before the war of Resistance Against Japan. After the Jinxi Incident, the Communist Party of China tried to achieve the transformation from old political power into the new one through the Villager election .In fact, although the administration at the basic level in rural area achieved the transformation, the administration were still dominated by the persons of the old political power .To change the situation and arouse the masses to develop production, the communist party carried out the movement for the model workers at the base area .So that they could lead all kinds of causes .as a result, the now authoritative persons arose in village-the elites of model worker.By way of the work-exchange group and the spinning and weaving group, the villager election in the old liberated area of the revolution in 1945 made the model workers enter into the organs of the state power, and realized the Substitution of the new political power for the old one. The model workers became the important portion of the composition in the structure of the power in the rural society, and the traditional authoritative persons quitted the political stage, and became the ruled and object of dictatorship.
