This paper investigates the research on comparison between the 3PLRT model and 4PLRT model by the example of Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices, which shows that the correlation between the item slowness parameters and the difficulty parameters is positive, and that the arrangement of the item slowness parameters is in the order of increasing. The whole Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices can be divided into three parts in terms of the item slowness parameters: the first part includes Part A, the second part includes Part B and Part C, the third part includes Part D and Part E. The comparison between the subjects, under these two models, shows the difference in abilities between the subjects of the same percentile rank and the same age. Even for the same subject, the percentile ranks of the ability values under these two models are quite different. The paper also covers the research of the response strategies of the subjects under the speed-accuracy tradeoff. It shows that, under such tradeoff, as to the items with high difficulties that is beyond the subjects' abilities, the subjects always try to save the time to compensate the losses in the accuracy. The estimated ability values under these two models also show that the time is an important factor in evaluating the intelligence.
