As far as the essence is concerned, design is an artificially creative activity, and its ultimate destination is to serve human beings. Gusto, as s quite complicated subjective factor, exerts a latent influence on the activity of design. Design is to create while making choices and the choice-making reveals certain taste. So in this sense, design means the choice of taste. By studying gusto, the thesis aims at expounding the potential design laws and the feasible expansion of design. Great importance is be attached to the problem as to how taste expand the design.
