This paper attempts to investigate the scientific function involving in vocal music performance through the analysis towards the ingenious combination of physiological mechanism and the actions of human vocal organs, so as to probe into a more scientific and proper method in singing. The whole process of singing cannot depart from the influence of psychological actions, which direct and affect the psychological function continually. On the one hand , the physiology when singing is invariably under the control of the singer's psychology. The whole behaviors and actions of a singer, the consequence contributed by his physiology and psychology, are the manifestation of his consciousness. The relationship between physiology and psychology in singing, is that of the dialectical unity of material and consciousness, which determines artistic charm of vocal music performance. This suggests that the vocal music performance, based on the premise of the dialectical relationship between psychological activities and physiological mechanism, employs effective means of both physiological and psychological regulation to improve singing level ultimately, so as to realize the artistic value of vocal music performance . On the other hand, vocal music performer makes full use of the directive function of singing behavior involving psychological activities physiological mechanism, and understands the interdependence of the two and their dialectical relations.
