Degeneration Of The Revolutionary--Evaluate Sunwu's Achievements And Errors In The 1911 Revolution

Sunwu is a complicated historical figure. In his earlier days, he is actively involved in revolutionary undertaking, making a brilliant contribution to the 1911 Revolution esp. to the revolution course in Wuhan, Hubei Province. On the other hand, in his later period he made some grave mistakes. How to evaluate Sunwu's achievements and errors constitutes the core of this thesis.The first chapter explores the shaping process of Sun's revolutionary thinking.The second chapter approaches the issue of the evaluation of Sun's historical contribution in the 1911 Revolution from four perspective: Sunwu help founding "Gongjinhui" of Hubei, Sun's role in the cooperation of "Gongjinhui" and "Wenxueshe", Sunwu and Wuchang Revolt, Sun's contribution in Hubei Military Government.The third chapter focuses on the analysis of Sun's later degeneration, the courses of the degeneration and its regative influence.
