This thesis uses electronic games as an object of study, try to explore the aesthetics connotation of electronic games from several different aspects. The goal of the thesis is, firstly, to strengthen consciousness of aesthetics as a branch of knowledge through the researches into rising cultural phenomena such as electronic games; and secondly, to improve people's comprehension of electronic games, and urge people to treat electronic games in a proper way.In view of the situation that domestic academic researches into electronic games are almost blank, this thesis sorts out the sequence of ideas in foreign study of electronic games, then finds out that using aesthetics as theoretical tools in electronic games research is becoming more and more conscious. The thesis puts electronic games into the background of contemporary culture, and studies the aesthetic characteristic of electronic games and aesthetic psychology in playing electronic games. Through studying the games as aesthetic concepts, the thesis try to seek out the relation between games as aesthetic ideal and electronic games in worldly life, and considers that people can find their aesthetic ideal inelectronic games if they can make control which exists here as an aesthetic skill.The whole thesis includes three parts, introduction, main body, and appendix. The appendix lays out some information of the authors whose works or ideas are used in this thesis while their names are unfamiliar to domestic researchers.
