In this paper, the author has been conducting a research on a phenomenon prevailing in the music education of teachers university:female outnumbers' male(condensation :FOM). The author has investigated and analyzed this phenomenon in teachers university in ShanDong Province by means of documents, investigation, mathematical statistics, and comparative research. Based on these, the article gives a detailed account of FOM and explores the reasons with detailed presentation and thorough research. He has been studying the students of teachers university, who are the object of music education, and focused on the differences between two genders in the aspects of physiology, psychology and music studying. The research shows that the phenomenon of FOM is severe in the music education of teachers university in ShanDong. As a result, the development of the elementary music education, the teachers university music education, even the whole system of music education has been hampered and negative influence is found on the environment of ShanDong education. The author appeals to music teachers to give attention and take actions to change the situations. Main reasons for FOM: traditional gender concept; occupation and social prejudice; female-consciousness in music education; physical and psychological differences between two genders, etc. The author concludes that the key to solve the problem is to take account of the gender differences carefully and give instruction based on the gender differences; It is consistent with the human-oriented concept of education which is emphasized in the new standard of syllabus. He believes that the change of FOM is challenging and depends on joint efforts of the whole society.
