The Pragmatic Study Of Chinese False Speech Act

The speech act theory is one of the important theories in the field of pragmatics, but over a long period of time, when foreign scholars or domestic scholars discuss it, they hypothesis the object what we analyze is true, however, they ignore the false speech act which attempt to cheat someone. Up to now, the research about the false speech act is mainly in the field of psychological, and few in the linguistics. In accordance with the weak link, the author will discuss the Chinese false speech act.The thesis is made up with 4 chapters. The main content of chapter 1 include 2 kinds of contents. The one is comprehensive discussion about the classification,the pragmatic study,the speech moral evaluation of the false speech act. The another is put forward my view about the definition,the classification,the pragmatic study and the speech moral evaluation of the false speech act. The content of chapter 2 include 2 parts. One is about the classification of the false speech act according to the intention of speech. Another is about the pragmatic study of the false speech act. First, according to the starting point of speech intention, the author classify the false speech act to 2 categories: the false speech act beneficial oneself and the false speech act beneficial others. And then, according to the recessive performative function, the author classify the false speech act at the second class, and get 7 categories: ,defence,swindle,slander,embarrassment,boast and flattery. Second, we discuss the pragmatic elements of the false speech act following 2 principles: 1. The author will analyze the pragmatic elements with a clear aim to penetrate the false speech act. 2. The author will advocate analyze the characteristic pragmatic elements. And then the author will discuss the performative function, the topic, the auxiliary pragmatic tactics and the clue of penetration, and so on. The content of chapter 3 is the moral evaluation of the false speech act. The criterion is situation of interest. That is to say who will be made a profit and who will be lose a profit by the speaker. So, the author divide the false speech act into 3 moral categories: the one is worth praise and is moral, which damage the speaker's profit, and satisfy the others' needs; the one is neutral, which don't damage anyone's profit; the one should be criticize and it is not moral, which damage the others' profit. And then, the author will summarize the content of this thesis in the chapter 4. First, the author will state briefly the chief conclusion of the thesis. Second, the author put forward 3 kinds of problem that need to be go on studying in future. 1. The classification to the false speech act should be deepened. 2. The writing false speech act should be study. 2. We should discuss the effect of the Cooperative Principle and the Politeness Principle at the aspect of interpreting the phenomenon of the false speech act.
