Following the study of Creativity further, an important trend is to study the relationship between creativity and personality or society and so on in many levels and angles. Synthesizing many researches, we can see that factors that affect creativity are in many aspects, the motivation as one of personality is an important headspring in the individual behavior, and it becomes an important aspect in creativity study increasingly. However, the need for cognition as an important intrinsic motivation is also attended extensively, a lot of researchers believe that it can reflect the essential character of intrinsic motivation. On the other hand, self-efficacy as an initiative factor may affect directly the individual motive mental state, so it is an approximate determinant reason in mankind behavior. In this research we measured the need for cognition, the general perceived self-efficacy and creativity of middle school students, and compared their influence in creativity. We got the following finds finally:(1) The need for cognition, the general perceived self-efficacy and creativity aptitude of middle school students are above medium lever, and creative thinking ability is lower relatively.(2) The gender effect in need for cognition and creative thinking ability is very significant, but it is not significant in the general perceived self-efficacy and creativity aptitude.(3) The grade effect in two aspects of creativity is significant, but it is not significant in the need for cognition and general perceived self-efficacy, it is only significant in the general perceived self-efficacy between grade one and grade two in junior school.(4) The relationship among the need for cognition, the general perceived self-efficacy and creativity are significant. Stepwise multiple regression show that NFC and GPSE affect creativity differently, NFC may Lay particular emphasis on predicting creativity aptitude, GPSE may Lay particular emphasis on predicting creative thinking ability.
