Large quantities of classifier measure words appear in modern Chinese and they can reflect the definite grammatical meaning through their reduplications. This article, on the analysis of large quantities of data, first defines theclassification of the classifier measure words, then investigates the grammatical function of the "AA" form of classifier-reduplications and finds out that there are two types of classifier-reduplications: "AA1" and "AA2" and, at the same time, gives a detailed description on the grammatical functions of "AA".On the basis of this , the author investigates the form of " 一 AA" , i.e. the classifier structure of " +classifier-reduplications " and finds out that there are two types of the quantitative structures of " 一 AA": "一 AA1" and " 一 AA2 " , among which " 一 AA1 " is " 一 " + substantive classifier-reduplications and " 一 AA2 " is " 一 " + verbal classifier-reduplications. Their grammatical functions mainly are reflected as follows: 1. The Grammatical Function of " 一 AA1" quantitative structureA. As attributive modifier, modifying and limiting the core words of subject or object, reflecting the nature of quantities;B. As adverbial modifier, modifying and limiting the core words of predicates, reflecting the quantitative features of the core words;C. As subject, referring person or matter;D. As predicate, involving the meaning of "many";E. As object, distinguishing from "一 AA2" .2. The Grammatical Function of " 一 AA2 " quantitative structureA. As attributive modifier, appearing relatively freely;B. As adverbial modifier, reflecting the state of verbal behavior and showing the continuousness of action;C. As predicate, directly describing the quantitative feature of matter and reflecting the meaning of "many";D. As complement, distinguishing " 一 AA1" .3. The functional distinctions between "~ AA1" and "一?AA2"This article, through the comparison of the two forms of "AA": " 一 AA1" and " 一 AA2", provides the findings that there is functional distinction between "一 AA1 "and" 一~ AA2 "and their distribution is asymmetry. Different function lies that " 一 AA1" can do as subject and object, while " 一 AA2 " cannot and " 一 AA1" cannot do as complement, while " 一 AA2 " can.The distinction appears because of the different natures of "AA1" and "AA2", which owing to the different nature between "Al" and "A2"一"Al" is a substantive classifier and "A2" is a verbal classifier. The distinction of substantive classifier and verbal classifier results in the existing of the distinction of grammatical functions of "~ AAl"and "一?AA2".In the final part of the thesis, the author discusses the nature of the quantitative structure of " 一 AA". First, the author evaluates the general studies on classifier and quantitative structure, involving two views: 1."一 AA" belongs to classifier-reduplication; 2. "一 AA" is the classifier-reduplication of quantitative structure. The author believes that"一 AA" should be regarded as an independent quantitative structure.Through analysis, the distinction exists not only between "一 AA" and the form of classifier-reduplication but also the ratio of distinction of the other quantitative structures (for example, "一 A 一 A"). Therefore, it is necessary to give it an individual investigation on the grammatical function. This paper aims to give a full description of the grammatical functions of the quantitative structure of " 一 AA" and hopes that it will be helpful to the overseas students when they study the quantitative structure of " 一 AA " .
