From Feminism To Womanism--The Translation And Change Of Feminist Theory In China

The thesis for graduation is doing research to feminist theory in China. It discusses not only the translation and change of feminist theory in China but also the cause of the change. On the base, it also analyses the Chinese female writing of the three periods. With the help of social historical method, acceptance theory and textual analysis method, it wants to sort out and set forth the character and influence of Chinese feminism.The thesis mainly concentrates on two sides: the cause of the change of the theory in China and the Chinese female writing. It thinks, the difference of social and history and culture between the western countries and China results in the difference of the feminist theory. The growth and strength of feminist consciousness makes female writing go through the experiences from childish to growth. And ZhangJie, Wang'anyi, ChenRan, LinBai and so on represent the progress.Chinese feminist theory and the female writing are not constrained by the passive influence of western feminist theory and try to bring out local words and establish the system of our own words.
