The 21st century is an era of digitization, information and design. Nowadays, design has been the important factor for the development of enterprises and even the country. The development of Chinese industry design, which is still at a primary and studies stage, is faced with a lot of problems. Therefore, it is of theoretic and practical significance for us to discuss and research thoroughly on industry design in digitized times. Firstly, it can help set up a series of correct industry design conceptual systems and educational systems. Secondly, it can help deal well with the relationship between design and digitized technology so that we can make more use of the digitized technology in every stage and every field of modern industry design.The thesis first elaborates on the history of the development of industry design from the prehistoric stage to the developing stage, which involves industrial art movement, new artistic movement, modernism and post-modernism movement. It also formulates different design concepts and features in every stage, by which it tries to explore the developing rules of industry design. Then the thesis takes them as the foundation of industry design conceptual system and educational system in digitized times.Based on the understanding of the history, chapter 3 of the thesis summarizes and explains theoretically the conceptual systems of industry design in digitized times. The industry design in digitized times is a pluralistic one, whose conceptual systems include the Green Design Concept centering on " man and nature", the Humanization Design Concept taking " people " as the center, the Innovation Design Concept based on " new and high technology ", the Individualization Design Concept characterized by " fashion " and the Product Culture Design Concept taking " cultural continuity " as the aim. All these have provided guiding thought foundation for the development of industry design in digitized times, especially for the development of industry design in our country. Chapter 4 puts forward systematically and resumptively industry design educational systems in digitized times, which builds the structure of education of industry design in the present. It will play a leading role in the development of industry design education, especially in our country. Chapter 5 starts with the relationship between industry design and digitized technology. Not only does it analyse the enormous facilitation of digitized technology to industry design, but also it establishes the correct relationship between them. All these will provide solution to the problem of " exaggerating the role of the digitized technology in industry design".Finally, the thesis ponders over the current situation in the development of Chinese industry design on the foundation of design conceptual system and the relationship between digitized technology and industry design in digitized times. The thesis also puts forward some specific solutions to these problems.
