Charlotte Bronte and Emily Bronte, known as the famous women writers of 19th century in Britain, wrote Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights. They are the representative works of the time, where they made a deeper description of the women status, especially in Jane Eyre. Charlotte described vividly the life of Jane in which she purchased happiness, freedom and love, showing the inferior social status and their eagerness to be equal to males. In the novel. Charlotte created a female image with ordinarv looking but passionate characteristics, which was so fresh at that time. Different from, Jane Eyre, Emily Bronte's Wutheriny Heivhts showed suppressiom tensions and conflicts on moral oi the people in 19th century in way of artistic imagination The heroes and heroines in the novel were not the slaves of the nature. They lived in the world. so they tried to change it. sometimes suceessful.sometimes bainful mectine with the difficulties and making mistakes all the time.With the only work of her short life. Emily showed her brilliant talent in the 19thTt is the primary aim of the present thesis to account for the social status of the women and their voices for equality and freedom. Consistine mainly of three sections. the first part introduees the social status of women at that time and the works of the Bronte sisters The second part angues the loneliness and isolation ofthe women in 19th century. their suppressed passioins and emotions and rebellion and make them advance in their minds the third part reseals the voises for equality andliberty. All the three parts are illustrated by the twe novels. Althouah differentliterature field of 19th century in Britain.
